"It is the policy of B&B Enterprises that there shall be full and effective compliance prohibiting discrimination of employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, mental or physical handicaps, age or veteran status."
If any time you feel you have been discriminated against, please discuss with your supervisor immediately. This solution can be resolved with your supervisor. Most often it is due to a misunderstanding. If you are still not satisfied or you feel you are unable to speak to your supervisor, please contact our Human Resources department. This matter will be discussed in a manner of confidence. He/she will counsel you in how to handle this situation and schedule to meet with you and your supervisor. B&B Enterprises encourages you to express, without fear of reprisal, any concerns you may have about your employment situation.
Problem Solving System
Each member of management is responsible for creating an atmosphere free of discrimination. Further, employees are responsible for respecting the rights of their co-workers.
If you experience any job-related discrimination based on your sex, race, national origin, disability or another factor, or believe you have been treated in an unlawful, discriminatory manner, promptly report the incident to your supervisor, who will investigate the manner and take appropriate action, including reporting it to the Director of Human Resources, who will undertake an investigation. Your complaint will be handled in a confidential manner.
If B&B Enterprises determines that discrimination has taken place, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the offending employee, up to and including termination of employment.
B&B Enterprises prohibits any form of retaliation against any employee for filing a bona fide complaint under this policy or for assisting in a complaint investigation. However, if after the investigating any complaint of harassment or unlawful discrimination, B&B Enterprises determines that the complaint is not bona fide and no action may be taken against the individual who filed the complaint or who gave the false information.
Open Door Policy
Misunderstandings or conflicts can arise in any organization. To provide effective working relations, it is important that such matters be resolved before serious problems develop. Most incidents will resolve themselves naturally; however, should a situation persist that you believe is detrimental to you or to B&B Enterprises, free discussion with your immediate Supervisor, Department Head, Vice President and/or President, or a member of the Human Resources Department is strongly encouraged. These individuals will endeavor to work out a satisfactory solution to the problem.
